Joan Miró

Retrospective

My dear readers,

Joan Miro said: "Painting is studying the trace of a small pebble falling on the surface of the water, the bird in flight, the sun escaping to the sea or among the pines and laurels of the mountain ".

Sensitive to art since a young age, the works of the artist Joan Miro have always fascinated me and I will not hide from you that I look forward with some impatience, the Miro exhibition which takes place from October 3, 2018 to February 4, 2019. The Grand Palais opens its doors to immerse us in the unpublished world of the great painter.

The exhibition offers us a retrospective of his work with an exceptional panorama of his most impressive creations.

Joan Miro and surrealism

Miro will manifest his desire to abandon the conventional methods of painting to favor a form of contemporary expression. He does not want to comply with any requirement.

Miro animated the surrealist school of Paris from 1922 and it is from 1940 that it acquires an international fame.

Art can be difficult to access but it is within the reach of all. Do not forget to take your time when watching a work with a view to develop your taste. Pay attention to colors and materials used. Watching is one thing but you must learn, my dear readers, to make sense of an image!

See you soon!
