The architecture, a passion
Dear all readers,
Child, I was initially attracted by drawing, then I learned to appreciate others styles of creations as the architecture and the sculpture. Long before I subscribe to the specialised journal A’A’ (l’Architecture d’Aujourd’hui), I knew how to appreciate the joys of the construction, the structures and the creation. Maybe you too you have known the jubilation of being able to create an habitat with materials which are made available to you. In this way, we all carry a childhood memory building a family forest hut with our cousins during summer holidays.
Frank Gehry, the vision of a genius
Frank Lloyd Wright, Leoh Ming Pei, Zaha Hadid or Tom Wright, here some examples of the major names of modern times that stand out by their genius in the art of constructing buildings and other physical structures. Frank Gehry is the one which creations have the most astonished me, many times I have spent hours to admire each outside facades of its achievements before enter in one of its buildings. If you are in Paris, you could not miss the architectural gem realized by Frank Gehry for the Louis Vuitton Foundation. The creator has imagined a unique building of its kind by its emblematic and bold nature where each step of the construction has been a technological miracle breaking with everything has been done. The visionary has be able to make its creations travel and its art out of the walls that he created around the world. You can be at Düsseldorf (Neuer Zollhof), Prague (Dancing House), Bilbao (Guggenheim museum) ou Barcelona (Olympic Fish Pavilion), detour off from your initial program to admire these masterpieces of modern times built by Frank Gehry.
During my daily visit at the hotel La Bourdonnais this previous Saturday, I met tourists who have planned their stay around the biggest architectural works to see in France. I loved this idea to let ourselves be guided by the artistic treasures which passionate us.
See you soon,
