Paris lights up

Shining Star

By nightfall, the city of Light wakes up and with the Christmas season soon upon us, the buildings, the apartments, the monuments will be adorned with their most beautiful decoration.

On a cold winter's day we were walking with Elena in this city that we love so much, and it is with astonishment that we discover this luminous capital.

Paris, already known to be the city of light, was revealed to us in a different way. At the end of the year-end celebrations, Paris amazed us. I remember how seized we were with its illuminations that each evening gave our city a new soul.

We were going through this dream, this enchantment with great emotion. At every step and every moment, the lights transporting us in a sort of parallel world. It was not only simple trees decorated with light garlands but a contemporary and magical art.

The most beautiful avenue in the world decorated with hundreds of thousands garlands is a picture that remains engraved forever in my memory. We were fascinated by the beauty of these little lights that glittered in the dark night.

I must admit that the spectacular Champs-Elysees Avenue seemed to me at that moment the most beautiful place I known in the capital but I had not yet discovered the department store windows with their Christmas decorations.

Fairy Christmas

Galeries Lafayette, Le Printemps, the Beaugrenelle shopping centre reveal us each year splendid and unforgettable creations.

I remember a giant fir tree decorated with pink flowers, at its foot there was a small lively village. The windows of wooden houses opened to reveal typical Christmas settings.

I now impatiently awaiting the arrival of Christmas and the surprises that Paris has to offer us.  My dear readers, I invite you to contemplate Parisians illuminations and creations of renowned artists.

In the heart of the city, let yourself be enchanted by the magical Christmas atmosphere!

See you soon,
